We welcome your inquiries about getting married at Saint Augustine's Anglican Church, Merewether.

Telephone the Church Office on 02 49 631388, Mon-Fri, 9am to 12pm, for detailed information and for bookings.

Beginning your marriage at Saint Augustine's says you want it to be the best! We all know couples who've made a great marriage ....

  • they remain lovers and friends for ever
  • they give joy and love to their families
  • their love grows and deepens with time
  • they are there for one another in good times and bad
  • their children can count on them for secure and loving nurture, for the best of values and preparation for life.

Your wedding at Saint Augustine's sets the tone and makes a statement about this.

To be married in a holy place is to recognise that love is holy and that love is the gift of God.

Saint Augustine's is a holy place where God has been loved and proclaimed for generations, where people have made their vows and grown in life-times of love and faithfulness.

There is no more sacred place on earth than the altar of the Living God.

When you have your wedding at Saint Augustine's you are bringing your best to God and to each other, expecting the best from God and each other, and from God's people in this place.

Preparing for Married Life

Because we want your marriage to be the best, everyone married at Saint Augustine's is encouraged to do PREPARE.

PREPARE is led by a trained counsellor and requires you to attend two or more appointments.

PREPARE is non-intrusive and extremely valuable to couples, regardless of how long they have been living together.
